Three policemen injured in Peshawar attack

PESHAWAR: Three policemen were injured when their vehicle was ambushed in Regi area on Tuesday, said police. An official from the Regi Police Station told Daily Times the police vehicle was attacked at around 12:30am. He said one of the injured policeman was in critical condition. He said police had arrested one of the attackers and seized weapons. The arrested man, Murad, has identified his accomplices as Jehanzaib, Murad and Adnan. The police official said Murad, a resident of Khajuri (Bara), was a proclaimed offender and wanted by police in several cases. He said a search operation had been launched to arrest the rest of the assailants. Another official said police were yet to ascertain if the men were Taliban. staff report
